Testimonials

Take a look at some of our testimonials from the past. These are great reminders of success stories. There is a chance for change!

"My name is Brian, I came to the maple street house in 2017. I was living a life of drinking, drugs, and I found myself homeless. I was lost, broken with no hope. I came to the maple house, found a sponsor, and worked the 12 steps of AA. I have been clean for four years now. Today my life is full of joy, and I work to help other addicts like me."

"So, here's my big shout out, to the place that saved my life from drinking and drugs and more importantly Self. It showed me A program I still use today. It also gave me the environment and time to get mentally sober, I am still working on me which will be A lifelong process. It's been years since a drink or drug sounded like a good idea and the people that know me would tell you that's a miracle. so, if you're struggling out there there's a place in independence MO. Where miracles happen. Thank you, Maple House."

"My name is Lester, I started using drugs and alcohol at an early age which ultimately paved the path for me to do a lot of prison time, as well as the loss of all contact with my children. Drugs controlled my life until I was 50 years old. When I got to the Maple house, they showed me love and tolerance and they loved me until I could love myself! I got a sponsor, worked the steps, and followed direction., then I started to see my life was changing dramatically. I've been sober for 6 and a 1/2 years by continuing to do the simple things I was taught. I am now the supervisor at a substance abuse treatment facility. Because of the Maple House my life is amazing today."
